Carl Fagerlund Pendant Lamp for Orrefors in Green Glass

Sweden - 1960s

Carl Fagerlund Pendant Lamp for Orrefors in Green Glass, Sweden 1960s. The bulb is surrounded by a beautiful crystal glass cylinder. Carl Fagerlund started working at Orrefors in 1946, and he quickly became known for his innovative designs, which combined traditional glassblowing techniques with modernist aesthetics. He was particularly skilled at creating intricate glass textures and patterns, and his work often featured abstract shapes and organic forms. Some of Fagerlund's most famous designs for Orrefors include the "Dusk" and "Dawn" series of lamps, which featured hand-blown glass shades with textured surfaces that created a beautiful play of light and shadow. He also designed a series of glass vases, bowls, and sculptures that showcased his mastery of glassblowing techniques. In addition to his work with Orrefors, Fagerlund also designed glassware for other companies, including the Danish firm Lyfa. He continued to work as a designer and glass artist well into his later years, and his work is still highly sought-after by collectors today.

Please note: Lamp should be fitted professionally in accordance to local requirements.
