The story of selling a beloved car and then miraculously finding another one nearby with a remarkable history is a tale of serendipity and good fortune. This story highlights how life can take unexpected turns and how chance encounters can lead to amazing opportunities.

My initial sadness at parting with my beloved Alfa Romeo 1969 1750 GTV was understandable, as letting go of something that has been a part of one's life is never easy. However, the discovery of another car just an hour away was a stroke of luck. The fact that the owner was a BMW master craftsman who had restored the car for the last couple of years made it an even more enticing prospect.

I sat down to examine the paperwork of the car, I was astonished to discover that the previous owner was a person named Charles Gregory Walsh. This name rang a bell on Google, as Walsh was a partner of the famous architect Frank Gehry and a teacher at the Sci-Arc University founded by Architect Ray Kappe. Sadly Greg Walsh passed away in 2022 and left no wife or children to tell this story.Greg Walsh owned this Car from 1969 to 2008 and always hit the streets in beautiful Santa Monica. A place that I was always a fan of. Otto Zipper was the local Alfa Dealer who always took care of the maintenance. The owner in Germany lacquered the Car in the beautiful Alfa Bluette Color and we finished the last details and added real leather interior. The result is what you see below.

How the Car appeared before restoration.

Greg Walsh on the left and Ray Kappe second on the right.
