Building up the wood structure
After the concrete towers were sandblasted we started immediately with the wood build. All walls and ceiling elements were prefabricated in Austria by Weissenseer-Holz-Systembau.
It was very challenging to find the Glue Lam Beams in Doug Fir like Ray Kappe used in California. In Germany it is a lot more common to produce the beams in spruce wood. I was happy to find the product at Wiedmann Holzleimbau in Rheinfelden.
After one week of Weissenseer-Holz-Systembau we see this.
