Art Deco Armchair
France,1920s
A striking early Art Deco armchair distinguished by its sharply faceted geometry and stepped side profiles. Constructed in solid wood with original patinated leather panels, the chair reveals meticulous hand-crafted joinery and square nail detailing. Its angular silhouette, slanted arms, and architectural volume reflect the transition from traditional craftsmanship to the modernist vocabulary emerging in France during the 1920s. A rare surviving example retaining authentic wear and character. This chair shows wear on the upholstery. We recommend having it reupholstered in our in-house workshop with a fabric or leather of your choice.
