Coffee Table with Striped Marble Top and Gold-Toned Metal Supports attributed to Duilio Barnabé

Italian coffee table dating from the 1950s. It features an elongated, organically shaped top composed of richly patterned marble and onyx in shades of cream, green, grey and reddish brown. The top is supported by two sculptural gold-toned metal columns with raised floral decoration. The columns are mounted on a geometric black-lacquered metal base with angled feet and connecting braces. The piece is in vintage condition with signs of age consistent with its period.
