Leather Desk Blotter with Metal Corners by Werkstätte Carl Auböck

Large desk blotter by Werkstätte Carl Auböck, made of thick natural leather with stitched edge and solid metal corner fittings. The rectangular writing pad shows a beautifully aged leather surface with rich patina. The four minimal metal corner elements hold the leather in tension and give the otherwise soft surface a clear geometric frame, a characteristic combination of warm natural material and precise metalwork found in many Auböck desk accessories from the 1950s–1960s. Vintage condition with strong patina, stains, and wear consistent with age and use. The leather pad has a height of approx. 4 mm, while the four cast metal corner elements measure approx. 7 mm in thickness, creating a subtle raised frame around the writing surface.
