Stoneware Wall Sconce with orange glaze by Fridtjof Sejersen for Sejer Keramik #1
Denmark, 1960s
This striking wall lamp was made in the 1960s by Sejer Keramik, a small pottery founded by the Danish ceramic artist Fridtjof Sejersen on the island of Funen. Crafted from stoneware with a bright orange glaze, it features a round disc form with a textured center that allows indirect light to shine through the shade. Sejer Keramik operated for only about two decades, producing handmade ceramics known for their earthy materials and refined glazes. Today, its lamps and vases are rare and sought-after examples of Scandinavian mid-century design.
This ceramic wall Lamp is in excellent Condition. A second, almost identical piece is available, too.
