Pair of Fauteuil de Grand Repos D80 Lounge Chairs with Stools by Jean Prouvé

Pair of Fauteuil de Grand Repos D80 lounge chairs with matching stools, designed by Jean Prouvé in 1928 and produced by Tecta in Germany in the 1980s. The chairs feature Prouvé’s characteristic architectural construction, with curved lacquered steel armrests, folded sheet-metal side panels and reclining backrests. Upholstered in black leather, each chair comes with a matching cylindrical footrest and a removable lumbar cushion in a contrasting colour, one red and one blue. Good vintage condition.
