Set of Six Bar Stools in the Manner of Mathieu Mategot
France 1950s
A set of six vintage bar stools featuring slender white-lacquered tubular metal frames with gently curved legs and circular footrests. The upper sections are decorated with geometric openwork bands of interlocking oval rings, characteristic of the playful, sculptural approach associated with Mathieu Matégot.
The stools retain their original white lacquer. The upholstered seat shown is an example; the stools can be newly upholstered in a fabric or leather of the customer’s choice. Sold as a set of six. Good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use.
