Set of Three Bitossi Ceramic Table Lamps in Green Glaze
Italy, 1960s
This sculptural trio of table lamps pairs strong mid-century silhouettes with the earthy refinement associated with Bitossi ceramics. Each lamp is formed as a tapered, architectural column in a rich emerald-green glaze, with incised geometric bands wrapping the lower bodies—subtle decorative motifs that read as both graphic and hand-worked. The variation in height and profile gives the group a pleasing rhythm, from the broader conical forms to the slender central lamp.
Shown with cylindrical linen shades, the set balances glossy ceramic surfaces against a soft woven texture, creating a warm contrast between material and light. Even unlit, the lamps hold presence as decorative objects; illuminated, they become a cohesive composition that works beautifully across a console, sideboard, or long credenza. Here’s the US version, polished and natural:
The individual dimensions of the lamps are as follows: 14 cm diameter, 44 cm height; 13 cm diameter, 44 cm height; 12 cm diameter, 35 cm height. The height was measured from the bottom edge to the top of the lamp socket.
Vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use; minor surface wear and variations to glaze, with age-appropriate marks to bases and fittings. Shades are shown for presentation.
