Elegant pair of Danish wall lamps designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in the 1940s for Louis Poulsen. Model 10630 features a nickel-plated brass mount and opal glass shade, offering soft, diffused light. Good vintage condition with light patina. Architect Vilhelm Lauritzen (1894-1984) created these lamps in the 1940s for the Radiohuset in Copenhagen. Originally used to signal studio activity with colored light, it was part of Lauritzen’s holistic approach to architecture, where he also designed the building’s interiors and lighting in collaboration with Louis Poulsen.
