The bowl is carved from solid wood with a softly flowing, organic shape, while the raised center element holds the knives upright in a radial arrangement. The sculptural form of the bowl is characteristic of the Auböck workshop, where everyday household objects were treated as refined decorative pieces. Knives marked Ed.
