The first glass panes arrive

After finishing the details with Mr. Alexander Kahnt and the woodwork by Bernd Rottkord we ordered the frameless glass panes by Semco Glass. Bernd Rottkord and his crew is responsible for all the glazing of the house. Semco and Kai Heinrichs who is the architectural adviser at Semcoglas Holding GmbH was a very helpful and supportive partner for this project since we had some special needs because of our design claims. The house has no shading and all the glass corners of the house have to be manufactured without any framing. Boris Hildebrandt a structural engineer specialized in glass did all the glass static for us. We are using a double pane Semco Climate Glass 700 to keep the weight as low as possible for all the windows and doors. Besides a couple of doors and windows we only used frameless glazing. Especially the clear story glazing looks very fantastic with the Semco panes. Bernd Rücker from Semco in Eberswalde which is the closest Location to Kleinmachnow was a great consultant to get the production for the glasses going.
